TV/Films That I’ve Loved This Year | 2020

TV/Films That I’ve Loved This Year | 2020

TV and films have completely saved me this year. More so TV shows, because not many films have come out this year that I’ve wanted to watch. One of the things that I’ve loved about television is that the story is dragged out for so much longer than a 2-hour film. You get to live in the world for hours and hours. I’ve done a blog post about the anime that I’ve been loving lately, and I have included a couple of anime’s in this blog post, but not many (I think there’s 3?)

Anyway, let’s get on with the list of all the top TV and films that I’ve watched this year!

January Releases I’m Excited For | 2021

January Releases I’m Excited For | 2021

I haven’t done any wrap-ups or monthly releases or book hauls in MONTHS and I AM SO SORRY!

Hello, there! Welcome to another post where I share all of the monthly releases that I’m excited for. I would normally split these posts into two sections: those that I have pre-ordered and the ones that I haven’t.

HOWEVER.

I have been doing really well this year, and not really buying many books. There’s one month left, so let’s hope I can keep my card away from bookshops!

Disclaimer: all of the release dates shown here are taken from Amazon.co.uk and the synopsis are taken from Goodreads

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Why am I reading this book 4 AND A HALF YEARS after it was released?😫 I am SO BEHIND on reading Leigh Bardugo’s hyped books that are set in the Grishaverse. It’s only been recently where I’ve read the Shadow and Bone trilogy! Please don’t come at me! I guess I’ve just been scared because they ARE so hyped, so I didn’t want to be disappointed.

So, here we go! After a very long time, I have finally read Six of Crows!

My 2021 Reading Goals

My 2021 Reading Goals

2021… Mom always tells me not to wish my life away, but when it comes to this year, I want it to be over. It’s not just the pandemic that has made this year miserable, and I know that the whole situation is going to be over as soon as Big Ben chimes saying it’s 1st January. But, I just want this year done. It’s not been great.

It hasn’t been good when it comes to reading or blogging either. I never really try to set myself personal or book goals when it comes to the new year, because I know myself, and I know full-well that I won’t stick to them.

But I’ve decided to switch things up this year and set myself some goals. So, here they are!

Top 10 Tuesday: Books I Hope Santa Brings | 22/12/20

Top 10 Tuesday: Books I Hope Santa Brings | 22/12/20

Yes, I’m here again with another Top 10 Tuesday post. I’m trying to get back into taking part in the weekly challenge as I love how it brings the book blogging community together!

I love this week’s theme. I’m currently sat in the living room, the open fire on, a cup of tea on the table next to me, and the Christmas lights twinkling in front of me, the smell of the pine needles filling the room. Christmas is my favourite time of year!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish list prompt originally hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

The topic for this week is:

Books I Hope Santa Brings

12 GOOD Things That Happened in 2020 | Discussion

12 GOOD Things That Happened in 2020 | Discussion

I know that I’ve spoken a lot about how awful 2020 was, but I want to take a moment to try and remember some of the good things that happened this year. There hasn’t been that many, but I’m sure I can think of some. I had originally planned to do 20 things, but when I started writing the post, I genuinely couldn’t think of 20 things… So, you get 12 instead! 😂

Most of these are positive personal things that have happened to me this year, others have been good things that have happened in general. So, without any further ago, let’s get into the list!

Anime That I’ve Been Loving Lately

Anime That I’ve Been Loving Lately

Anime. It’s one of the things that I absolutely love. I love how much hard work goes into creating just one scene, I love the action, the romance, the fantasy, the science. It’s such an art. About a year ago, I came across Crunchyroll, which is an anime streaming service and has pretty much everything.

It’s very rare that I talk about anything other than books. I did a post a couple of weeks ago talking about the music that I’ve been loving lately, but I wanted to share with you some of the anime that I’ve been loving the past few weeks. I wrote a post about my top 5 Studio Ghibli films AGGGGGGEEESSSS ago, but that’s about it!

Just a quick disclaimer, that these are in no particular order, they’re just a random list of ones I love.

Lockdown Ruined My Reading Habits | Discussion

Lockdown Ruined My Reading Habits | Discussion

I know that everyone is talking about how rubbish 2020 was/is, and I wholeheartedly agree with them. But one of the things that I wanted to concentrate on today was how lockdown actually ruined my reading.

At the beginning of the year, I set my Goodreads goal as 50 books, which I thought was reasonable. It was 1 book a week (ish), and that seemed like a goal that I could achieve quite easily.

WELL… that just wasn’t the case, was it?
