February Book Haul | 2021

February Book Haul | 2021

Since we’re still in lockdown in the U.K., and I haven’t been in work for months and months, I don’t really have a lot of money. I’m pretty much scraping by right now, and I’m lucky to have my mom who has been trying her absolute best to support me financially. Because of the lack of money I have coming in, that also means that I don’t have any money for books. The only books that I get each month are the ones that I get from subscription boxes, and maybe I’ll have a little bit of money left over for a second-hand book.

However, in January, I actually pre-ordered the Barnes and Noble exclusive edition of Concrete Rose, and a few days ago, it actually arrived. It’s the only splurge I allowed myself!

I’m not gonna lie, if I wasn’t in lockdown and I was working, then the books hauls would definitely be bigger, but I just can’t afford it right now. But, it also gives me a chance to read all of the un-read books that I already have.

Let’s get on with the haul!

Fairy Loot Unboxing | February 2021

Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! So, for this month the theme was ‘What the Future Holds’ and when the theme was announced last month, I couldn’t really figure out what the book would be, even after going onto Goodreads and looking on the February releases list! For the past few months, Fairy Loot boxes have been arriving a few of weeks later than usual due to the pandemic, hence why the February box is actually being shipped in March.

Top 10 Tuesday: Characters I Would Love to Work With | 02/03/21

Yes, I’m here again with another Top 10 Tuesday post. I’m trying to get back into taking part in the weekly challenge as I love how it brings the book blogging community together!

So, the original topic for this week was characters whose job I would enjoy… But in most of the books that I read, the characters are assassins and warriors. I mean, not that I’m complaining, I reckon I would kick some ass, but I knew that the topic would prove to be impossible, so I CHANGED IT! So, for me, this weeks topic is ‘Characters I Would Love to Work With‘.

The topic for this week is:

Characters Whose Job I Would Enjoy (as you can see, I slightly changed the topic!)

February Wrap Up | 2021

February Wrap Up | 2021

Well… that’s another month down. I can’t believe that it’s the panniversary soon. Uggghhhhh, it’s disgusting even thinking about that in a few days, it’s been a year since COVID hit the U.K. ONE YEAR. ONE BLOODY YEAR. God, it’s been shit, hasn’t it?

In December and January, I put my heart and soul into reading a blogging, which can be seen in the 20-odd books that I read in January. However, for me, February was the month of video games for me, and reading was put on the back burner for the month. Will I read more in March? I have no idea.

Yes, I’m here again with another Top 10 Tuesday post. I’m trying to get back into taking part in the weekly challenge as I love how it brings the book blogging community together!

It’s very very very very rare that a book makes me laugh out loud, and I genuinely can’t remember the last book that made me do that. However, this list is comprised of books that made me smile loads, or snort laugh… You know the thing that I mean, right?

March Releases I’m Excited For | 2021

March Releases I’m Excited For | 2021

Hello, there! Welcome to another post where I share all of the monthly releases that I’m excited for. I would normally split these posts into two sections: those that I have pre-ordered and the ones that I haven’t.

HOWEVER.

I have been doing really lately, and not really buying many books. Considering we’re in lockdown, and I’m only getting furlough money, I can’t really afford to buy books, anyway.

With that in mind, let’s get into all of the March releases that I’m looking forward to!

Disclaimer: all of the release dates shown here are taken from Amazon.co.uk and the synopsis are taken from Goodreads

Yes, I’m here again with another Top 10 Tuesday post. I’m trying to get back into taking part in the weekly challenge as I love how it brings the book blogging community together!

This week, I’m going to be sharing some of my favourite purple, yellow, and green book covers. I’m going to split this post into sections, so the first seven books are going to books that I’ve read, and then the last three are books that are on my TBR! This post is in honour of Mardi Gras, which is actually today! Make sure you get all those pancakes ready! And if you’re taking part in Lent, GOOD LUCK!
