My Top 10 Audiobooks

My Top 10 Audiobooks

Audiobooks are an amazing way to read books. You can listen to them whilst cleaning your room, cooking/baking, ironing, walking, driving… I LOVE THEM, and 2020 has been the year where I’ve really relied on audiobooks to get through my TBR.

I use Audible where I pay £7.99 a month for one credit, which allows me to buy any audiobook – whether they are £25 or £10. Or Audible do an offer where you can buy 3 credits for £18 which has always helped me out when I want to have more than one credit a month.

Over the past year, I’ve listened to so many amazing audiobooks, and some *not so great* ones, but here are my top 10 audiobooks OF ALL TIME!

Baby It’s Cold Outside | Book Tag

Baby It’s Cold Outside | Book Tag

Hey, guys! It’s December, it’s nearly the end of 2020, and IT’S FREEZING OUTSIDE here in the U.K. I mean, I’m not complaining, I much prefer Autumn and Winter, so I’m in my element right now! Because of the weather, I thought that it would be very fitting to do this book tag.

I found it over on Regina’s blog: Bookish in Bed and I loved the idea of doing it for myself!

This tag was created by Erin over @Reading on a Star

November Book Haul | 2020

November Book Haul | 2020

I know that the title says that it’s my November book haul, but really, this post contains books that I’ve bought or received over the past few months. I think that the last book haul I did was May and since then, there have been months where I didn’t buy any books, and months where I just couldn’t be bothered to take pictures and write blog posts. Mental health is a constant struggle.

So, here we are, a few months later, wrapping all of it up in one post!

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

For those who know me, or who are regular readers of my blog, you will know that Kerri Maniscalco became one of my favourite authors of all time after I read the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. There was something about her writing that kept pulling me in, and I loved every single character that she wrote. Even though I was sad about the story of Audrey Rose Wadsworth coming to a close, hearing that Maniscalco had a new series coming out that had to do with witches and Princes of Hell was just *chefs kiss*.

The ABC Book Challenge: ‘C’

The ABC Book Challenge: ‘C’

I’ve been seeing this book challenge on loads of different blogs, but I’ve just never gotten around to starting it. But here we are! Finally!

The rules are simple. Each week you pick your most memorable reads and books from your TBR that start with that weeks letter. I can’t seem to find where this book tag originated from, so if anyone has any idea, just let me know.

Anyway, let’s get on with the tag. This week, I’m going to be talking about the books that start with the letter ‘C’.

Top 10 Tuesday: Authors I’d Love to Meet | 02/10/18

Top 10 Tuesday: Authors I’d Love to Meet | 02/10/18

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish list prompt originally hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The theme for this week is:

September 25: Authors I’d Love to Meet

There are so many authors that I would love to meet. I’ve been very lucky that I live half an hour away from Birmingham, and quite a lot of big-name authors have been there to promote their books, but there are some that I haven’t had the opportunity to meet. So here is a list of the top 10 authors that I would sell my soul to meet.

September Wrap Up | 2018

September Wrap Up | 2018

Hey, guys and welcome to my September wrap up! I tried to read as many books this month as I did last month, and I completely failed. I think I read about 9 or 10 books last month? And then this month, I read 5. I don’t know what’s been the matter with me, I’ve just been taking a very long time to finish one book.

Anyway, let’s get on with the wrap-up!

First Impression Friday | 21/09/18

First Impression Friday | 21/09/18

If you’re not aware of what First Impression Friday is, it was created by Joe at JW Martin – Storeys of Stories where, every Friday, he talks about his first impressions of his current read. I actually think that I’m going to do this bi-weekly because, at the moment, I don’t think that I’m going to be reading books that quick due to university.

I also think that – where Joe has said that he will just come back to his FIF post and link his reviews – I’m going to come back to the post, and just write if I was wrong or right. So I have my predicted ratings, and then I’m going to write my actual rating and a couple of sentences on what I actually thought. But I will link my full review as well (once it’s written!)
