Fairy Loot Unboxing | July 2020

Fairy Loot Unboxing | July 2020

Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! So, for this month the theme was ‘Resilient Royals’. Due to everything that’s going on in the world right now, the Fairy Loot subscription boxes were delayed in shipping which is completely understandable – hence why the unboxing post is actually being posted in June!

Let’s get on with the unboxing…

Another Fairy Loot box means another month of gorgeous artwork which is designed by Taratjah! The artwork for this month is absolutely amazing and sums up the book and theme perfectly. On the back of this card is all of the information about each item, but I never look at this as it contains spoilers as to what is in the box, and I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!

I had actually run out of candles, so when I saw that a candle was included in this months box, I was so happy. And, this candle smells amazing! This candle was inspired by The Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian and was created by In the Wick of Time.

I can’t believe how many pillows and pillowcases I have. But I can’t help but fall in love with them and keep them all! This beautiful pillowcase was designed by Chatty Nora and was inspired by Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas.

So, the spoiler card says that this tray is actually a food tray or a tea tray, but I kinda used it to keep all of my earrings in because I ran out of room! It’s been so so handy to keep all of my hoops together. I love the design so much. it was designed by Evie Seo and was inspired by Winter by Marissa Meyer.

ANNNNNNNNDDDDD… here is the book of the month: Shielded by Kaylynn Flanders. The Fairy Loot edition has an exclusive cover, sprayed edges, and is signed by the author

As usual, there was also a letter from the author included that featured amazing artwork by @faeriereverie

The kingdom of Hálendi is in trouble. It’s losing the war at its borders, and rumors of a new, deadlier threat on the horizon have surfaced. Princess Jennesara knows her skills on the battlefield would make her an asset and wants to help, but her father has other plans.

As the second-born heir to the throne, Jenna lacks the firstborn’s–her brother’s–magical abilities, so the king promises her hand in marriage to the prince of neighboring Turia in exchange for resources Hálendi needs. Jenna must leave behind everything she has ever known if she is to give her people a chance at peace.

Only, on the journey to reach her betrothed and new home, the royal caravan is ambushed, and Jenna realizes the rumors were wrong–the new threat is worse than anyone imagined. Now Jenna must decide if revealing a dangerous secret is worth the cost before it’s too late–for her and for her entire kingdom.

As always, Fairy Loot included the Fairyscoop newsletter which includes an interview with the author and also the information for next months box (which sounds A-MAZ-ING!), and then they also include a bookmark that has the artwork of the month printed on the front and then ‘Fairy Loot / July 2020 / ‘Resilient Royal’ printed on the back!
