The ABC Book Challenge: ‘E’

The ABC Book Challenge: ‘E’

I’m finally getting back into the ABC Book Challenge. It’s a weekly book meme, but I’ve decided to do one/two a month instead, so things don’t get boring!

The rules are simple. Each time you pick your most memorable reads and books from your TBR that start with that posts letter. I can’t seem to find where this book tag originated from, so if anyone has any idea, just let me know.

Anyway, let’s get on with the tag. This week, I’m going to be talking about the books that start with the letter ‘E’.

I genuinely thought that I had read more books that began with ‘E’, but obviously not 😂. The End of Men is a book that I’ve read recently, and it was such a difficult read, but it also so empowering. There’s a pandemic, pretty much all of the men die, and it follows women who find a vaccine, women who have to adapt to a world where most of the men are gone… It’s very interesting!

Kerri Maniscalco is a brilliant writer and even though Escaping from Houdini wasn’t my favourite in the series, it was still a very enjoyable book, and I will never get enough of Audrey Rose and Cresswell!

Then, there’s European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman by Theodora Goss. I have spoken about this series so many times on my blog, and I will never stop raving on about how good the series is. It’s different than anything I’ve ever read before, and the audiobooks are amazing!

I can’t believe how long some of these books have been out for 😫. ALL of these books have been on my TBR for so long. I loved The Diabolic, and I expected that I would have read The Empress very soon after. I know that I started it, and I read about 50 pages, but then another book caught my attention.

With An Ember in the Ashes, I think that it’s the hype that is stopping me from reading the series… But then, there have been times where books have lived up to their expectations. I just hope that I can get around to all 4 of these books soon, so that I can finally take them off my TBR!

If this challenge teaches me anything, it’s that I have so many books to read, and most of them are blogger favourites or just really popular ones that I haven’t gotten around to yet.

Until next time…
