July Book Haul | 2018

July Book Haul | 2018

I actually didn’t buy that many books this month! It’s a miracle! Most of these are pre-orders as well, so it’s not like I also went to the bookstore and spontaneously bought loads of book as well.

HOWEVER!

I did also go to YALC at the end of July, and OBVIOUSLY, I bought some books whilst I was there. But, the YALC haul was so big that I didn’t want to include it in my normal book hauls, so I made a separate post which you can read here.

Anyway, let’s get on with my June book haul!

Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig

Rates of stress and anxiety are rising. A fast, nervous planet is creating fast and nervous lives. We are more connected, yet feel more alone. And we are encouraged to worry about everything from world politics to our body mass index.

– How can we stay sane on a planet that makes us mad?
– How do we stay human in a technological world?
– How do we feel happy when we are encouraged to be anxious?

After experiencing years of anxiety and panic attacks, these questions became urgent matters of life and death for Matt Haig. And he began to look for the link between what he felt and the world around him.

Notes on a Nervous Planet is a personal and vital look at how to feel happy, human and whole in the 21st century.

So, there we have it! That’s my July book haul. I’m hoping that my August book haul will be a bit smaller, but I have a feeling that it won’t be, because there are so many awesome books coming out in August. BUT I GUESS WE’LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE!
