Blog Tour: Winterkeep by Kristin Cashore

Blog Tour: Winterkeep by Kristin Cashore

I am so bloody excited to be back in this world. Graceling and Bitterblue are two of my favourite YA fantasy books ever, and even though Fire (the second book), wasn’t my favourite, Winterkeep was still very very high on my TBR list. I was lucky enough to be sent an ARC of Winterkeep, and was asked if I wanted to be part of a blog tour… SO HERE WE ARE!

Disclaimer: 1) this book was sent to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. 2) there may be slight spoilers for the previous three books in this review.

Trigger warnings: kidnapping/containment, slut-shaming, child abuse, death, murder

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

For the past couple of months, I’ve been binging Leigh Bardugo’s books like there’s no tomorrow. And now that I’ve finally finished King of Scars, I can happily say that I’m now all caught up and I’m ready for Rule of Wolves! BRING IT ON!

*slight spoilers ahead for The Shadow and Bone trilogy. Before you read King of Scars, you definitely need to read the trilogy, and also the Six of Crows duology*

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Why am I reading this book 4 AND A HALF YEARS after it was released?😫 I am SO BEHIND on reading Leigh Bardugo’s hyped books that are set in the Grishaverse. It’s only been recently where I’ve read the Shadow and Bone trilogy! Please don’t come at me! I guess I’ve just been scared because they ARE so hyped, so I didn’t want to be disappointed.

So, here we go! After a very long time, I have finally read Six of Crows!

Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller

Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller

Tricia Levenseller is one of my auto-buy authors. As soon as I hear about a book that she’s got coming out, I will pre-order it immediately. I loved every single one of books such as Daughter of the Pirate King, and The Shadows Between Us. So, when I heard about Warrior of the Wild, I did just that. But because this is me we’re on about, I didn’t get around to reading it until about a year later, because the TBR was crushing me.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

For those who know me, or who are regular readers of my blog, you will know that Kerri Maniscalco became one of my favourite authors of all time after I read the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. There was something about her writing that kept pulling me in, and I loved every single character that she wrote. Even though I was sad about the story of Audrey Rose Wadsworth coming to a close, hearing that Maniscalco had a new series coming out that had to do with witches and Princes of Hell was just *chefs kiss*.

For those of you who are regular readers of my blog, you will know that the Stalking Jack the Ripper series is one of my ultimate faves. The characters, the settings, the murder… Everything about it is *mwah*. I’ve always loved murder (okay, that sounds weird) and I’ve always been intrigued by forensics. So, it should come to you as no surprise that I like reading about things like that as well. I was looking for books similar to SJtR ON Goodreads, and came upon Spectacle

After reading Daughter of the Pirate King and Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller, I was sold on her writing style and the characters that she creates. I haven’t read her other standalone fantasy: Warrior of the Wild (but I intend to read it very soon!) because there was something about The Shadows Between Us that really captured my attention.

Where to begin with this review?! It’s not going to be as long as my other reviews as I know that I’m probably going to find it really hard to review this book without letting on to any spoilers!

I am so happy that Muse of Nightmares is FINALLY out, however, I’m gutted because it’s only a duology and I NEED MORE of Lazlo and Sarai. I mean… I guess that I could just keep re-reading the books, right?
