Top 10 Tuesday: Books on My Winter TBR | 15/12/20

Top 10 Tuesday: Books on My Winter TBR | 15/12/20

I haven’t been involved in a Top 10 Tuesday post since FEBRUARY!! That’s how little I have been blogging this year. However, during this second lockdown in the U.K., I’ve definitely been getting on top of it, and I hope that I can partake in this weekly meme more often.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish list prompt originally hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

The topic for this week is:

10 Books That Are On Your Winter TBR

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

I never tend to do set TBR posts, because I hate feeling restricted, and that I HAVE to read the books on my TBR. I’ve done a post that outlines the books that are on the top of my NetGalley TBR, but that’s about it. Since it’s already 15th December, the year is almost over (thank god), so this TBR will be the books that I WOULD LIKE to get around to during the end of December/January!

I’ve got a few ARCs that I need to get around to, and I really want to keep on top of the ARCs that I have because I kind of didn’t read any for most of the year, and now I’m behind!! Winterkeep is out in January so that’s one that I need to get round to as soon as possible, but The Henna Wars, and The End of Men just sound so amazing, that I just want to read all of them at the same time!

Some of these books have been out FOR SO LONG and it kills me that I haven’t read them yet, especially A Song of Wraiths and Ruin, as it has been on my list since it came out. I don’t even own a copy, so I’m hoping (fingers crossed), that I get it for Christmas!

I actually started reading The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper, and I got to page 60-something, but I knew that it was going to be a book that would take a while to read because it’s such a heavy topic.

  1. I’ve heard “The Five” is pretty good, but it’s hard for me to imagine what kind of sources they found! Looks like a good mix. BTW, you may want to check in the link to your post posted at Artsy Reader Girl…it sent me to a 404, so I erased everything but the main website and found your post that way.

    1. I know, I was thinking the same about the sources!

Dammit, I’ll check it out now. Thank you for letting me know! x
