The three questions (Ws) are:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

So without any further ado, let’s get on with it, shall we?

Author: Jennifer A. Nielsen

Progress: 62%

Thoughts:

I’m still on the same part as I was two weeks ago which is awful. I just haven’t had the chance to read anything because of university assessments… Which means that this update is taken from last weeks WWW post.

I’m listening to the audiobook for this. I did want the physical copy because the cover is absolutely gorgeous, but I’m trying to save money, so the audiobook seemed a good way to go.

Last week, I said that the book was captivating but it didn’t seem like it was anything special. This week, I’ve changed my tune completely. Even though I know that this book won’t be 5/5, it’s still a brilliant book and in the last 20% that I’ve read, it’s had me on the edge of my seat and I’ve been listening to it everywhere I go. I would have finished it last week as well, but I had to read a book for university, so I had to put The Traitor’s Game on hold. But since I’ve got a few days free before I need to start reading another book for uni, I can read this!

Author: William Sutcliffe

Thoughts:

I was expecting so much more from this book… I don’t know why. I think it might be because when I went to YALC this year, Sutcliffe was on a panel and he was describing this book and it sounded so good… And now, I finally get around to reading it and it doesn’t live up to my expectations.

That’s not to say that this wasn’t a good book though. It was still enjoyable, and VERY emotional. It’s written from two different perspectives which I think was very interesting, but I do wish that both of our main characters could have met each other.

It’s definitely going to have to be The Crystal World by J.G. Ballard because I have to read it for my science fiction university class. The last book that I had to read for my class wasn’t that enjoyable, so I’m hoping that this one is a book that I will end up loving.

It’s nice to keep you guys updated on what I’m reading, and even though I do an end-of-the-month wrap-up, you never get to see what I’m reading during the week.

Until next time…
