I can’t believe that Christmas has been and gone and that I’m typing this before I go to work on New Years Eve… It’s crazy that another year has been and gone. But with the new year comes a truck load full of brilliant new releases. THERE. ARE. SO. MANY. How weird is it that it’s the end of 2017 already? The last fourth months have seemed like 4 seconds just the thought of it nearly being 2018 is making me go insane. I met so many amazing authors this year such as Laini Taylor, Stephanie Garber and Matt Haig. It was such a crazy year and I hope that 2018 is the same!
For those of you who read my review of book one of this magical trilogy, you will know that, even with a book full of tropes, I still loved Frostblood. This is the first modern poetry book that I have ever read. Sure, I’ve read what English lecturers at uni consider to be ‘modern’ poetry… from the 20th century. But I mean like MODERN poetry. I have heard so many amazing things about this collection of poetry and I follow Amanda on Twitter and she is one hilarious, yet truthful human being. …

I’m finally reading a graphic novel that isn’t Saga! Saga has been my entire world for ages, and I was excited to move onto something different. Monstress seemed like the perfect thing to move onto. A badass female character who was an antihero, monsters, Gods and blood and gore everywhere… …
