YALC Line Up | 2019

YALC Line Up | 2019

Okay, so last year, I only did a TBR post, but since YALC released all of the authors for 2019 at the same time, I thought that I would make it slightly easier for me (and you) to figure out which authors are going to be on which days. The full schedule for the weekend will be going up on the London Film and Comic Con website on Friday 3rd May.

Let’s get down to business!

Bad Things Come in Threes | Life Update

Bad Things Come in Threes | Life Update

My Mom will kill me if she finds out that I’m writing this blog post. She would say that no one needs to know what goes on in my life, and to an extent, she’s right. But I need an outlet. I need to write down what’s happened to me and if someone out there can identify with what I’m going though (I’m very very sorry if you can), and if they can get reassurance that they’re not alone, then that’s okay with me.

Fairy Loot November Unboxing | 2018

Fairy Loot November Unboxing | 2018

Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post. So, for this month the theme was ‘Battles & Galaxies’ and when the theme was announced last month, and I had an idea of what the book was going to be, but I wasn’t 100% sure. A lot of people were disappointed that Fairy Loot were doing a sci-fi themed box, but NOT ME! I love science fiction so I was super happy.

Let’s get on with the unboxing…

Music Monday | 10/09/18

Music Monday | 10/09/18

This meme was created by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song that you really like and share it on Monday! What I love about this weekly meme is that I get to share my love of music with you. I’ll be completely honest, I mainly listen to KPop (hence why the first week of me doing this meme is a KPop song) but I do listen to a variety of music as well, so feel free to listen to some amazing music with me!

The Book That Changed My Life

The Book That Changed My Life

The book that changed my life was ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee. Probably like many other secondary schools throughout the UK, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ was one of the books that we had to study for our English GCSE and you know what required reading is normally like: boring. The books are nearly always terrible and you hate the fact that you need to read it ten times so that you can get that good grade. With ‘TKAM’, I read it ten times, but not because I felt like I had to: it’s because I wanted to.

Top 5 Book Subscription Boxes

Top 5 Book Subscription Boxes

So, you’ve probably guessed by the fact that I run a book website that I am obsessed with books. I live and breathe them. Of course, being so actively involved within the book community also means that I hear a lot about book subscription boxes. They’re all the rage right now. People just can’t seem to get enough of waiting for that box that contains little goodies and a book – BUT THEY DON’T KNOW WHICH BOOKS or which goodies are inside.

I decided to compile a list of the top 5 book boxes that are out there.

(By the way, this list is in no particular order!)

Netflix 3% Review

Netflix 3% Review

Netflix’s 3% is the first original series from Brazil. 3% follows the beginning of The Process, as the 20-year-olds striving to reach the promised land known as the Offshore, sign up for a series of difficult physical, mental and social challenges which aim primarily to reduce their numbers. The main goal of The Process is to dwindle the hundreds of candidates down to 3%, since only 3% are able to be sent to the Offshore.

Finishing Your First Year of Uni

Finishing Your First Year of Uni

This May will be the second time that I have finished year one of university. Confused? Last year, I went to Staffordshire university and I hated it. Don’t get me wrong, I met some awesome people and I’m still friends with some of them now, but I just had to leave. The course was awful. So I went to Birmingham City University and started year one all over again (doing a different course).
