You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

One of the things that I wanted to do in 2021 was catch up on some of the amazing books that I had on my TBR. Lately, I’ve been reading A LOT of fantasy novels, and I realised that I had been ignoring all of the brilliant contemporary novels that I had just sitting on my shelves.

I had been wanting to read You Should See Me in a Crown ever since it was released, and in January 2021… I FINALLY got around to it!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Why am I reading this book 4 AND A HALF YEARS after it was released?😫 I am SO BEHIND on reading Leigh Bardugo’s hyped books that are set in the Grishaverse. But because this is me we’re on about, I didn’t get around to reading it until about a year later, because the TBR was crushing me.

After absolutely LOVING the first book in this series: Heart of Mist, I couldn’t wait to be able to read the second book. However, I had to wait a whole year which wasn’t great, but oh my life, the wait was definitely worth it! I had listened to Heart of Mist on audiobook, so I definitely wanted to carry that on and so I pre-ordered the audiobook for Reign of Mist. I had gotten so used to the narrator and the way that she voiced the different characters, that I couldn’t think of the characters talk any other way.
