Fairy Loot Unboxing | February 2019

Fairy Loot Unboxing | February 2019

Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post. So, for this month the theme was ‘Beast & Beauty’ and when the theme was announced last month, I knew EXACTLY what the book was going to be as I had already read it and loved it so much!

Let’s get on with the unboxing…IMG_7086.jpg

Another Fairy Loot box means another month of gorgeous artwork which is designed by Taratjah! The artwork for this month is absolutely amazing and sums up the book and theme perfectly. On the back of this card is all of the information about each item, but I never look at this as it contains spoilers as to what is in the box, and I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!

The first item that I saw in this months box was this GORGEOUS rose tumblr. All of the items in this box are inspired by Beauty and the Beast which I love so much because it’s my favourite Disney film of all time (the original, not the live-action.)

This tumblr is going to come in so handy, however every now and then, some of the gold pieces of glitter come out and I managed to get quite a few pieces on my carpet which was a little annoying.

The next item that I saw was this trinket dish designed by Drop Dead and Give Me Nerdy. I’m actually thinking about keeping my earrings in this tray which is handy. The quote is from the film and it says “if it’s not baroque, don’t fix it.”

The next item was this roll on perfume from Little Heart Gifts and it’s inspired by Mrs. Potts and it smells of vanilla which I absolutely love because vanilla is one of my favourite smells. I can’t wait to try it out and see what people think.

I simply can’t get enough of enamel pins. Fairy Loot included a cloth pin flag in their box a few months ago, and ever since then, it’s been my mission to try and fill it as much as I can. This rose enamel pin badge will make an excellent addition to my collection. It’s beautiful and was designed by Icey Designs.

RRP: $11.85

Fairy Loot have started including trading cards in their boxes and so far, they have included character from A Court of Thorns and Roses, and this month, they have Morrigan and Rhysand from the series. I think that starting from next month, Fairy Loot are going to be including Six of Crows cards.

The designs are drawn by Emily Haynes. She is so talented!

The only promotional item that was included in this months box was this bookmark advertising City of Brass and it’s sequel: Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty. I’m yet to read this series but I’ve heard such amazing things about it.

We’re coming to the end of the box now, and one of the final items before the book was this GORGEOUS art print of Belle which was designed by @amaretta_. I can’t wait to stick this on my bedroom wall next to all of my other art prints.

The last item in the box before the book was this amazing Beauty and the Beast wall tapestry which was designed by Sweet Sequels. I wish it was sightly smaller because my walls are definitely not big enough to fit this tapestry on. However, it is quite thick so I could always use it as a blanket…

Also, sorry that the picture is really blurry. It’s very hard to stand on the edge of my bed and lean forward to take a picture of it without falling over.

Annnnndddd, the book of the month is A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. If you haven’t heard anything about this book, where have you been for the past 4 months? There has been NOTHING BUT HYPE for this book. I think I now have 3 copies of it? Which is insane but oh well.

This month’s book included a signed rose book plate, exclusive foiling on the cover, and also included a silk ribbon bookmark. This edition is also in hardback which is exclusive for UK readers as the book is only being published in paperback.

Along with the book, there was also a letter from the author with some character art work on the back that was designed by @kf1n3 who is incredibly talented! There is also a bookmark that you can use whilst reading the book!

Fall in love, break the curse.

It once seemed so easy to Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall. Cursed by a powerful enchantress to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year over and over, he knew he could be saved if a girl fell for him. But that was before he learned that at the end of each autumn, he would turn into a vicious beast hell-bent on destruction. That was before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.

Nothing has ever been easy for Harper Lacy. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother barely holding their family together while constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, she learned to be tough enough to survive. But when she tries to save someone else on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s instead somehow sucked into Rhen’s cursed world.

Break the curse, save the kingdom.

A prince? A monster? A curse? Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. But as she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. But powerful forces are standing against Emberfall . . . and it will take more than a broken curse to save Harper, Rhen, and his people from utter ruin.

As always, Fairy Loot included the Fairyscoop newsletter which includes an interview with the author and also the information for next months box (which sounds A-MAZ-ING!), and then they also include a bookmark that has the artwork of the month printed on the front and then ‘Fairy Loot / February 2019 / ‘Beast & Beauty’ printed on the back!

Thank you to Fairy Loot for another month of bookish goodness. I can’t wait for next months box which is themed ‘Favourites’ which marks the 3 year anniversary of Fairy Loot.

Fairy Loot have stated that there will be TWO BOOKS included in this book. The first book will be the main book of the month and is about a girl who goes up against boys in a maze. It will have spray-painted pages and will also be signed by the author.

The second book is going to be a paperback from a British author. It’s an April release with an exclusive cover, and will also be signed by the author.

Fairy Loot have also sent around information about the April box which is called ‘Dark Magic’. The book that is going to be included will have an exclusive cover, spray-painted pages, and will also be signed by the author.

It has also been released that Fairy Loot are going to be including a book sleeve which I’m mega excited about.

Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find all of my unboxings on my unboxings page

Believe me guys, you do not want to miss out!
