Fairy Loot Unboxing May 2017

Fairy Loot Unboxing May 2017

I’ve been waiting so impatiently for this box. Even though I knew what the book was straight away (c’mon, it was so obvious!) I was still mega excited. I had already read an arc of the book and absolutely loved it so I couldn’t wait to get the finished edition.

This month’s theme was ‘Warriors & Legends’

As per usual, the artwork for the month is absolutely gorgeous and I think it sums up the book perfectly! The artwork is also a spoiler card as to what is in the box, but I never look at it! I want everything to be a surprise!

There were two different candles that were sent out, Flame and Mist… Hmmm. Gives a massive clue to what the book is! As you can see, I received the Mist candle and it smells absolutely gorgeous. The candle is slightly boring in it’s design but hey, you can’t get everything can you? I haven’t seen any pictures of the Fire candle but I bet it smells just as amazing. This candle was designed by In the Wick of Time exclusively for Fairy Loot.

The next item that I saw was the Warriors & Legends Jasmine and Lychee Green Tea which was made by The Tea Leaf Co. This blend of tea is excluive to this months Fairy Loot box. Unfortunately, I don’t drink any other tea apart from normal tea so I know that I won’t be using this. Hopefully, I can a friend or family member that will want it!

We get not one, but TWO BOOKS in this months box! I’ve been wanting a book for ages that sums up all of the mythology. My Dad has got a book on it, but it’s massive. So I’m really glad that Fairy Loot provided a condensed version! World Mythology by Mark Daniels seems like it will be a very interesting and educational read!

This is the second time that Fairy Loot has featured socks within their box. These Celtic socks are gorgeous and they’re really warm! These were brought to us exclusively by Fairy Loot!

This is SO AMAZING!! IT’S A METALLIC FEATHER PEN!! One can never have enough pens either. I genuinely have about 1,000. It’s crazy. So now I have another one to add to my ‘collection’. This pen was created by Flora’s Wonder Emporium!

*I couldn’t find any social media or website for Flora’s Wonder Emporium, so if anyone finds it, please let me know so that I can include it in the post!*

In the box, there was also a chapter sampler of Naondel by Maria Turtschaninoff, which is the second book in the Red Abbey Chronicles. I actually own the first book but I haven’t read it yet, so having this chapter sample for the second book will definitely give me a push to get to reading the first one.

Ok, so Lord of the Rings is probably one the best things ever. I’ve rewatched the films over and over again like a billion times, I’ve read all of the books once (because HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF THEM?!) This bookmark is just the best. I love it. I love the design, I love how it’s made from sustainably sourced wood! This bookmark was made exclusively for the Fairy Loot box by Ink and Wonder!

So this month’s book was… YES, FLAME IN THE MIST BY RENÉE AHDIEH! This book is just absolutely amazing and I just can’t get enough of it! In the Fairy Loot bag, there was also a Flame in the Mist bookmark, a signed bookplate (for some reason, I got two?), a letter from Ahdieh, an official Fairy Loot bookmark, the FairyScoop magazine and the reading buddy card.

Overall, this box wasn’t as good as past boxes… I think there could have been some amazing book-inspired jewellery, maybe? I don’t know, I think I was left slightly disappointed because the past few boxes have just been amazing.

Thank you to Fairy Loot for another month of bookish goodness. I can’t wait for next months box which is themed Elementals and I genuinely have no clue what the book is… At all… So that makes it even more exciting! Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find my unboxings for the past four months on my unboxings page

Believe me guys, you do not want to miss out!

  1. This post is amazing! I love all your pictures. I found this while searching for information for ‘Flora’s Wonder Emporium’ to include in my book. But I’m the same as you I can’t find anything either. Definitely going to follow your blog!

    1. Thank you! I wonder why there’s no social media or anything… it’s quite strange as I would love to purchase more items from them..

      Thank you so much
