Rapid Fire Book Tag

Rapid Fire Book Tag

WELCOME!

This is my rapid fire book tag where I have to answer questions with the first answer that pops into my head. But obviously, knowing me, I couldn’t just say the answer, could I? I just had to go and explain my answer or ramble on. Oh well…

The Rapid Fire book tag was so much fun to do and I tag anyone who wants to do it!

E-Book Or Physical Book?

Physical books all the way… e-books just hurt my eyes and I like the look of all my books on their shelves. I can’t have that with an e-book.

Paperback Or Hardback?

Definitely paperback… BUUUUUUTTT… If I like the hardback cover better than the paperback cover, then I’ll get it in hardback. Even though a 10000x more expensive!

Online Or In-Store Book Shopping?

In-store. There’s just something about being surrounded by all of the books that makes me feel at ease.

Trilogies Or Series?

Trilogies. Although there are so many good series like The Mortal Instruments, The Raven Cycle

Heroes Or Villains?

Villains. They seem to have more character and even though their evil, it’s interesting to see the concept behind their character and what made them evil in the first place.

A Book You Want Everyone To Read?

Night Owls by Jenn Bennett. It’s such a fantastic read!

Recommend An Underrated Author?

Holly Bourne. I don’t hear a lot of talk about her at all in the blogosphere. She’s the author of the Spinster series: Am I Normal Yet?, How Hard Can Love Be?, What’s A Girl Gotta Do? and Happy New Year?

Weirdest Thing You’ve Used As A Bookmark?

A shoe… Yes, I know it’s a bit odd but it was the closest thing to me at the time. IT WASN’T DIRTY DON’T WORRY! I would never use a dirty shoe as a bookmark. Can you imagine what it would do to the book?!

Used Books: Yes Or No?

Yes, but that have to be in good condition. I can’t buy them if the spine is broken or the pages are dog-eared.

Top Three Favourite Genres?

Fantasy, thriller, and science fiction. They’re my top three genres at the moment. I love contemporary young adult romance as well but fantasy, thriller and science fiction take me on such incredible journeys!

467980r81re9x9km

Borrow Or Buy?

Buy… I just love owning them. But this also means that I run out of room on my bookshelves pretty quickly…

Character Or Plot?

Plot. if the plot is rubbish then I don’t really care for the characters either.

467980r81re9x9km

Long Or Short Books?

Long… But not Game of Thrones long. The ideal book length for me is about 350 pages.

Books That Make You Laugh Or Cry?

Laugh… But I do like a good cry because then I know that the books have got me right in the feels.

Our World Or Fictional?

Fictional. What a stupid question! If my life could be like Inkheart, then life would be so good!

Audiobooks: Yes Or No?

No. I don’t know what it is about them, I just prefer to read the books myself instead of having someone read it aloud for me. I carry a book everywhere I go anyway, so there’s no use for an audiobook.

Do You Ever Judge A Book By Its Cover?

Of course, I do. Everyone does. It’s the first thing you look at in the shops. If it’s a bland cover, then it doesn’t catch your attention.

Book To Movie Or Book To TV?

Book to TV. I feel like their more time to explore the story in a TV show than in a movie.

A Movie Or TV Show That You Preferred To The Book?

There hasn’t been one yet! Although A Monster Calls was a very good film!

467980r81re9x9km

Series Or Standalones?

Series because I can never get enough of good characters and storylines! Can you imagine if The Raven Cycle was confined to one book? I think I would cry.

There we have it guys! I tried to make it as visual as possible so that you weren’t bored to death by just the answers. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find that many book gifs… WHY IS THIS?! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my rapid fire book tag, don’t forget that I’ve tagged everyone to do this! So just copy the questions over onto your blog and fire away…

  1. A shoe is definitely an interesting bookmark! I’m surprised it’s even… hmm, small enough to be wedged between the pages of a book tbh – I’d probably just turn the book over and leave it face-down.

Fantasy and sci-fi are my favourite genres too. Fantasy more than sci-fi, though; I think I just enjoy the whole magic thing. <3

    1. Haha it was only some ballet flats so nothing too big ??? I’m strange, I know ?

Yeah I love the magic concept of the whole fantasy genre as well! There’s just something about it that makes me want to binge read the book! It’s such a captivating genre

  2. We must not be in the same area of book Internet because I hear about Holly Bourne non stop. Definitely not under rated – she’s a treasure.

    1. I’m glad to hear that she’s well appreciated then! I absolutely love her writing so much
