Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

Hey, guys and welcome to another awesome book tag! I’ve got a feeling that this on is going to be my favourite book tag yet! Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney film ever, maybe even my favourite film ever. So this is awesome and it makes me want to watch the amazing film all over again – 100000 times back to back… Because… Why not?

I got the idea for this tag from Gretchen at https://chicnerdreads.wordpress.com so you should definitely go and check out her blog! The creator of this book tag was another awesome person called Kirsty and you can check her out at https://kirstyandthecatread.wordpress.com

Right then! Let’s get into it…

‘Tale as Old as Time’ – A popular theme, trope or setting you will never get bored of reading.

This one has to be dystopian novels! I never get tired of reading about corrupt government, awesome technology and about a group of people trying to overthrow those in power. Some dystopian novels that I love include Broken Sky and the Slated series.

Belle – A book you bought for it’s beautiful cover that’s just as beautiful inside too.

This is definitely the Ghostgirl series! The books themselves are taller and narrower than the usual hardback and the pages have gorgeous borders and the pages are stained either purple, silver or red… Uggghhhh, I just love them.

Beast – A book you didn’t expect much from but pleasantly surprised you.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. The blurb made the book sound very boring and it sounded just like any other normal young adult contemporary novel. But I started reading it and I was absolutely hooked. I loved everything about it and I’ve read it multiple times!

Gaston – A book everyone loves but you don’t.

This is definitely All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t hate it – I gave it three stars – but it just didn’t live up to all of the hype that surrounded it. Maybe one day, I’ll give it another go, but for now… It’s a no from me.

Lefou – A loyal sidekick you can’t help but love more than their counterpart.

I wouldn’t say that I LOVE them more than their counterpart, but you’ve got to admit: Ron Weasley is pretty amazing in the books. He’s this hilarious, scared guy, but someone who would walk to the end of the Earth for the people he cares about.

Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiér, and Cogsworth – A book that helped you through a difficult time or that taught you something valuable.

The first books that comes into my head for this are To Kill a Mockingbird and The Fault in our Stars. To Kill a Mockingbird reiterated important lessons that I will never forget and The Fault in our Stars helped me through a difficult time whilst I was grieving the loss of my Nan. Both of these books are so important to me.

‘Something There’ – A book or a series that you weren’t into at first but picked up towards the end.

Probably Will Grayson, Will Grayson. At first, I was a bit weary because the book had a very slow start and was slightly boring. But the layout of the story was very interesting and the story ended up being so so good!

‘Be Our Guest’ – A fictional character you’d love to have over for dinner.

Errmmm.. Belle. Obviously.

So there we have it guys! My Beauty and the Beast book tag! I tag everyone who wants to do it! Just doing this book tag has made me realise how much I love this film but has also made me realise how nervous I am to watch the live-action Beauty and the Beast film that comes out next year! Fingers crossed that it’s brilliant…

  1. This is a cool tag and who doesn’t love Beauty and the Beast! I look forward to trying this out myself.

I wonder, what would you and Belle have at your dinner together? I’ve no idea what I would serve, but I’ll be thinking about it before I do my own!

  2. I have no idea! That such a difficult question to answer… I’ll just cook whatever she wants to eat, I think I’d just want to make her happy ?

I look forward to reading your tag ?

    Xoxo
